Make a difference this season with this free Christmas Kindness Planner!
Welcome to December! I’m SO excited to be kicking off the 24-Days to a Christ-Centered Christmas party. My name is Heather Bowen and I am the founder and owner of LifeofaHomeschoolMom.com and the owner of HomeschoolBlogging.com and the Homeschool Blogger Network! For those of you who know me personally, you KNOW that I LOVE Christmas. I LOVE absolutely everything about Christmas. The lights, the festivities, the food {OHHH the food!}, the decorations, the music….
BUT, what I LOVE most about the Christmas season is the spirit of Christmas.
The spirit of giving. The spirit of love. The spirit of hope. The spirit of joy.
Those things are what Christmas is all about…but they didn’t come out of nowhere.
The emotions surrounding celebrating the birth of our Savior is what breathes life into Christmas….otherwise, it’s just another date on the calendar.
It is ONLY because of Jesus that we know how to give, that we know how to love, that we have any hope or any joy at all.
Friends, it is ONLY because of Him.
When our God took on human form and allowed himself to be born into a manger that night all those years ago, He filled our hearts with joy and hope…and through Him we learned how to love and serve one another.
One of my family’s favorite Christmas activities involves doing random acts of kindness for those around us…both for people we know and for strangers. Putting time, effort, and thought into these acts helps to teach our children that Christmas is truly about loving and serving one another and not so much about the gifts that they receive under the Christmas tree.
I have found that sporadically doing these acts of kindness throughout the month of December works, BUT, having a plan in place works even better, so we are using a Christmas Kindness Planner to keep track of the Christmas cheer that we will be spreading this year.
Our Christmas Kindness Planner contains:
- 24 acts of kindness suggestions
- a planning page to list the people we would like to bless this Christmas
- festive âRandom Acts of Kindnessâ tags you can add to your acts! For example, you can print these and attach them to candy canes you leave on people’s cars in the busy mall parking lot.

If you are feeling like you really need to spend some time preparing your heart to celebrate the birth of our Savior this Christmas, I invite you to join my 4-week Preparing My Heart for Christmas prayer challenge. It is FREE! Find out more and join us today!
